Ice's Tarasov named to USHL All-Rookie Team

Ice winger Daniil Tarasov, the USHL's leading goal-scorer this season, has been named to the USHL's All-Rookie team.

With 37 goals, Tarasov was the USHL's second-leading scorer, behind teammate Blake Coleman. Combined with linemate Brian Ferlin, the trio comprised the three top point-getters in the USHL this season. Tarasov had seven multi-goal games, eight game-winning goals and nine three-point+ nights.

Dubuque's John Gaudreau was named Rookie of the Year in the league. He had 36 goals and 36 assists, finishing just behind Tarasov in the goal scoring race and fourth overall behind the three Ice players in USHL scoring. The Rookie of the Year award has been won by such notable players as Max Pacioretty of the Montreal Canadiens, Kyle Okposo of the New York Islanders and Joe Pavelski of the San Jose Sharks.
