Today in history: May 11

No items for TIH yesterday, but we're back :).

1990: A 5-2 victory at the Coliseum gives the Ice a 2-0 lead in the IHL Turner Cup Finals. Jim Waite is again the game-winner in net, while second-generation Indy player Mike Stapleton scores the game-winner. The Ice score three times in the third period to pull away.
2000: Trailing 3 games to 2 in the CHL Miron Cup Finals, the Ice need a strong performance and get it, as Jamie Morris backstops a 5-2 road victory over the Columbus Cottonmouths. Chris MacKenzie scores the game-winner as the Ice dominate.

Locke Jillson: Forward who played 16 games -- and four postseason games -- for the Ice in 2007-08. He had two assists in the regular season and a postseason goal. He went on to play collegiately at Cornell, where he has just finished his junior season. He has totaled 13 goals and 35 points in his three college seasons. A native of Dallas, he is 21 today.
